The Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope is on this weekend. The Saturday events are shorter, including a family walk/run or race for more serious runners. The Sunday half and full marathon takes you on a scenic run through the city with a downhill fast portion. Saturday’s shorter races start and finish at Confederat­ion Park. On Sunday, the northbound Red Hill Valley Parkway will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Other road closures or restrictio­ns Centennial Parkway and Mud Street from 8 to 10 a.m., Barton Street and RHVP as well as Beach Road to North Service Road by Confederat­ion Park. Spectators can catch the start of the marathon by parking at the Starlite Drive-in on Green Mountain Road. There will not be a shuttle from the race finish at Confederat­ion Park back to the Starlite. Runners are asked to park at the race finish at Confederat­ion Park and take the shuttle to the start at Dofasco Park. This shuttle for participan­ts runs between 5 and 6:45 a.m. Visit hamiltonma­rathon.ca

Pottery sale

More than 100 potters will be at the Potters’ Guild of Hamilton and Region fall sale on Friday from 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dundas Lions Memorial Community Centre, 10 Market St. S. Much to do about tea

Warm up with a hot cup of tea this weekend. The annual Tea Festival is Saturday and Sunday at the Royal Botanical Gardens Centre, 680 Plains Rd. W., daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sample different varieties of tea from around the world. Celebrate the classic hot beverage with live performanc­es, vendors for your holiday shopping, a traditiona­l tea ceremony and more. Tickets are $24 per day at the door.

Oh baby

Bump, Baby and Toddler Expo is Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Convention Centre, 1 Summers Lane. The expo features contests, entertainm­ent, demonstrat­ions and workshops. Admission is $10 at the door. bumpbabyan­dtoddler.com

Stamp of approval

The Hamilton Stamp Club’s free Fall Stamp Show at St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic Secondary School, 200 Acadia Dr., starts Friday with a silent auction at 7:30 p.m., a voice auction at 8 p.m. and sales circuit books from 5 to 10 p.m. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be 20 dealers. Art sale

The Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice art sale is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All funds raised go to support the hospice programs. Local artists are featured. The art sale is on site at the hospice at 277 Stone Church Rd. E.

The Art in Action Burlington Studio Tour runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nine studio stops and over 27 artists on this free, self-guided tour.
