MCMASTER INNOVATION PARK

-

MIP is made up of three buildings, including:

The Atrium, which houses more than 40 tenants, ranging from startup companies to accelerators to advanced research labs. The 186,000-square-foot-space is the only remaining office building that was part of Camco’s manufacturing plant.

MARC, one of Canada’s leading research facilities where researchers, students and industry professionals work together with a focus on electric and hybrid vehicles. The $26-million facility, which was developed in 2013, is home to initiatives including the Centre for Mechatronics and Hybrid Technologies and the Centre for Automotive Materials and Corrosion.

The CanmetMATERIALS research centre, which has the mandate of developing and deploying technologies to improve aspects of producing and using value-added products derived from metals and minerals. Part of the Department of Natural Resources Canada, the centre relocated from Ottawa to MIP in 2011.
