Deadline to register for the 17th Annual SportHamil­ton Breakfast of Champions is Nov. 17. The breakfast is Dec. 4, 2017 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Carmen’s Banquet Centre. Held in partnershi­p with the City of Hamilton, the event recognizes the accomplish­ments of teams and athletes who have won a 2017 provincial championsh­ip in a provincial­ly affiliated sport, qualified for a Canadian national championsh­ip or qualified to compete internatio­nally for Canada. If your team or athlete meets the criteria, you are invite to attend. Coaches are asked to register the athletes/team today. Hamilton Girls’ Field Lacrosse is starting a house league this coming summer for U9 girls. HLA girls’ field also runs rep teams in the U11, U13, U15 and U19 divisions of the Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse League. The house league season will start in May. A winter skills clinic will be announced to run in January and February to introduce interested families to Canada’s National Summer Sport. No experience is required.
