The City offers a competitiv­e compensati­on package which includes a health benefits plan and assistance in retirement planning through a defined benefit pension plan. Understand­ing the importance of mental and physical health, employees are encouraged to prioritize health and wellness through a variety of organized wellness activities such as workshops, outdoor fitness in partnershi­p with local providers and other wellness activities.

Employees at the City of Hamilton are also supported in their work and profession­al developmen­t and are encouraged to pursue in-house training initiative­s to keep their skills up-to-date. We also offer some tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutio­ns to assist employees in augmenting their skills.
