Six Nations Police investigat­e armed home invasion

OHSWEKEN — Six Nations Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down suspects in an armed home invasion.

Police responded to a 911 call just before 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 30 after two men with handguns reportedly assaulted a woman during a robbery at a home on Cayuga Road.

The intruders stole the woman’s largescree­n television and drove off in a black sport utility vehicle that may have been a Cadillac, police said in a news release Friday.

The handguns were shown to the woman during the assault and robbery, but no shots were fired. Paramedics treated the woman’s injuries at the scene.

Police have provided suspect descriptio­ns:

One has light skin, short, blond hair and a clean shave.

He wore a tan jacket, work vest, winter hat and brown work boots. He’s about six foot one.

During the home invasion, he lifted his jacket to show a handgun that had a brown grip tucked into his pants.

The second intruder also has light skin and had a brown moustache. He’s about five foot five and has a thin build.

He wore a plaid jacket, winter hat and work boots.

He also lifted his jacket to show two black handguns tucked into his pants.

Police say they’re following “some leads” and continue to investigat­e the robbery.
