The number of fans on hand to see Sarnia raise Steve Stamkos’s No. 91 to the rafters before its game against Windsor last week. The Tampa Bay Lightning captain, who notched 197 points in his two-year OHL career, is the first player in franchise history to have his number retired. The Sting followed up the ceremony with a dominant 6-1 win over the visiting Spitfires.

The number of letters acquired by Evan Bouchard this week. The London Knights awarded the ‘C’ to the 18-year-old defenceman last Friday after former captain Robert Thomas was traded to Hamilton. A few days later he was also announced as an alternate captain for Team Cherry in the top prospects game. Barrie’s Andrei Svechnikov and Guelph’s Ryan Merkley will also wear ‘A’s for the annual CHL showcase, which is being hosted by the Storm Thursday.

The point tallies of both Bouchard and Merkley to start the weekend. The two draft-eligible blueliners are tied for the scoring lead among OHL defencemen, with the third-year Knight having a slight edge in the goal column. Forward Svechnikov, meanwhile, is the only rookie in the league this season scoring at more than a point-per-game pace. The three are among 16 OHLers suiting up in the top prospects tilt.

The number of saves Mario Culina made Wednesday en route to his first OHL shutout. It’s been an interestin­g eight months for the 20-year-old Rangers goalie, who won a Memorial Cup, was cut by the Spitfires, played university hockey for Ryerson and returned to junior in Sudbury all between May and November. The Wolves traded him to Kitchener last week.

The number of points Taylor Raddysh racked up in his first three games as a Greyhound. The former Otters forward was named CHL player of the week after scoring four goals and five assists in a trio of outings with the Soo — all wins. The 19-year-old world junior champ made his Greyhounds debut last Wednesday after being sold by Erie in the lead-up to the trade deadline.

The number of goals per game scored by the Soo since adding Raddysh to their roster. The Greyhounds, who were already leading the OHL in scoring, are now notching an average of 4.63 goals per outing — significan­tly higher than the 3.42 being scored by the Lightning prospect’s old squad in Erie.

The amount, in dollars, the IceDogs have donated to charities in the Niagara region over the past two weeks. The team raised the funds by auctioning off its special Christmas and autism awareness-themed jerseys, along with other gear. The top draw was a Stephen Dhillon goalie mask, which went for an impressive $1,235 online.
