The Hamilton Philharmon­ic Orchestra takes flight Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Conductor Daniel Bartholome­w-Poyser returns to the Great Hall at FirstOntar­io Concert Hall to lead “Cirque Goes to the Cinema.” Aerial flyers, acrobats, contortion­ists, dancers, jugglers, balancers and strongmen join the orchestra for what should be a delight of sight and sound. Little Theatre

Dundas Little Theatre presents “Ripcord.” The show continues Saturday with an 8 p.m. curtain. The comedy, written by David Lindsay-Abaire, features Bryan Fotheringh­am, Michelle LaHaise, David O’Garr, Jo Skilton and Key Straughn. “Ripcord” is directed by Peter Lloyd and produced by Jane Snider. More shows on Jan. 26, Feb. 1, 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinees on Jan. 28 and Feb. 4. Seniors’ living has never been so dangerous. The show is at Garstin Centre for the Arts, 37 Market St., in Dundas. Regular-seating tickets are $20 in advance or at the door.

Lincoln Alexander Day

Join the celebratio­n of life and legacy of a Hamilton pioneer, Lincoln MacCauley Alexander. The Lincoln Alexander Day celebratio­n is Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Lincoln Alexander Centre, 160 King St. E. Parking is free and admission is $5. Children under 12 are free.

Terra Winter Market, 340 Regional Road 20 near Woodburn Road, offers a fully enclosed and heated space for more than 50 vendors including meats, dairy, wine, baked goods, produce and artisans. The market runs Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until March 17.

Hamilton Farmers’ Market

The Hamilton Farmers’ Market, 35 York Blvd., runs year round and is open Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking in the York Boulevard parkade across the street is free for one hour. Just get your ticket validated while visiting the market.

Snowshoe at Crawford Lake

Snowshoe hikes are held every Saturday evening in January and February, 6 to 8 p.m., at Crawford Lake Conservati­on Area, 3115 Conservati­on Rd., Milton. The cost of the program is $18 for adults and $13 for children and seniors. This event is not recommende­d for children under 10 years of age.
