WATTERS, Gladys Rose

-

A true inspiration to all who knew and loved her, we are heartbroken to announce the passing of Gladys Rose Watters in her 91st year on Friday, February 9, 2018. Gladys was so wonderfully kind and giving, with a never-ending positive attitude towards all people and to life in general. Loving and devoted wife of 47 years to Burton Victor Watters (1997), devoted mother to Brian (Cathie) and Harvey (Judy), very proud grammie to Andrea (Larry Labelle), Jeff (Lisa), Ryan and Tyler and great-grammie to Grace and Martin Watters. Predeceased by her parents William and Lillian Porter and siblings Roberta, Edna, Irene and Charles. She will be greatly missed by the “Burts Boys” who have spent 40 years and counting travelling to “The Bruce Peninsula Camp” - a special getaway proudly owned and cherished by Gladys and Burt. That tradition shall continue. As per her wishes, Gladys’ remains will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Many heartfelt thanks to Abington Court Retirement Home, especially to Shannon, who took a special interest in her care and to the kind staff of 8 West at The Hamilton General. Gladys has waited 20 years to re-join her husband Burton - her wish has finally been granted.

Rest In Peace Momsy.
