BORRACCETTI-TOCCHETTO, Dina (nee Squadroni)

-

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dina, in her 93rd year, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Reunited with her beloved husband Vincenzo (2008). Loving mother to Emilio (Ornella Mary nee Gattafoni) and the late Italo (Marie nee Santaguida). Adored Nonna to Diana Borraccetti, Stephanie Blasioli and Christina Bernar (Eric). She was a proud Great Nonna to Julian and Alyssa Blasioli, Savanna and Corinne Codognotto, Milena, Marcus and Cruz Bernar.

Dina was the eldest daughter of the late Giuseppina and Gaetano Squadroni in Civitanova Marche, Italy. She leaves to mourn her youngest brother Marcello (Maria) in Italy, predeceased by her brother Mario (Ivana), and sister Linda (late Fernando). She was also predeceased by her in-laws, Borraccetti-Tochetto families. She leaves behind nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy and Canada. Dina was a beautiful, kind, generous, hard working woman, always wanting to feed her excellent home made cooking and baking to family and friends, wanting only their company in return. She had to be dressed and look her best and make sure her comb was in her purse. Dina will be joyfully remembered and greatly missed. Special thank you to the late Dr. E. Ricci, Dr. Michael Savatteri, Dr. B. Heller, Dr. Oczkowski, the staff at the Hamilton General 7 South and PSW worker Kanar for all their care and compassion. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL; 43 Barton St. E., on Wednesday February 21, from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Vigil prayers on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Luke’s Church (200 Mount Albion Rd.) on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1 p.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In kindness, donations to Cancer Assistance Program or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
