This year’s Souper winners
Soupfest 2018 raised more than $72,000 for Living Rock ministries
The results are in — and they’re delicious.
This year’s Soupfest saw two local restaurants win the top soupy spots: My Thai won the Foodie’s Choice award for their Thai Spice Coconut Soup, and Soupfest attendees chose Fsh & Chp’s Bisquey Business as their favourite.
The Burnt Tongue, which collaborated with the youth at Living Rock Ministries to create a soup, raised $1,347 for the Living Rock Food Service Program. The Hamilton Firefighter Association raised $1,500 through their stand, which offered up soup for a donation.
The event also raised $72,000 through ticket sales and event sponsorships.
All proceeds will help Living Rock respond to more than 32,000 youth visits annually providing crisis support, hot meals, life skill and employment training. And the winners are ...
