Soupfest 2018 raised more than $72,000 for Living Rock ministries

The results are in — and they’re delicious.

This year’s Soupfest saw two local restaurant­s win the top soupy spots: My Thai won the Foodie’s Choice award for their Thai Spice Coconut Soup, and Soupfest attendees chose Fsh & Chp’s Bisquey Business as their favourite.

The Burnt Tongue, which collaborat­ed with the youth at Living Rock Ministries to create a soup, raised $1,347 for the Living Rock Food Service Program. The Hamilton Firefighte­r Associatio­n raised $1,500 through their stand, which offered up soup for a donation.

The event also raised $72,000 through ticket sales and event sponsorshi­ps.

All proceeds will help Living Rock respond to more than 32,000 youth visits annually providing crisis support, hot meals, life skill and employment training. And the winners are ...
