Inspiring others by helping families reclaim their space

- Judy Rickey, Owner Help for busy families & individuals

As the owner of Clutter Relief Services, Judy Rickey helps families reclaim their spaces—and often their sanity. As a single mom of two amazing daughters, she knows it can be a challenge to manage a home and a busy schedule. One way to do it is to reduce your clutter (unnecessary items in your home).

Operating since 2010, Judy’s business has grown to the point that she now hires fellow Professional Organizers to work with her. She enjoys empowering people and ridding clients of the huge weight that clutter can cause, not just visually, but mentally, and even from a safety standpoint.

With so many families juggling kids, jobs, activities, laundry and meal preparation, it’s no surprise that clutter accumulates. Clutter Relief Services can bring organization to a home in a matter of hours. It finds a home for all the belongings a household needs and loves. All that’s required afterwards, is keeping them there. Clutter can be either the cause or the effect of stress, anxiety, and depression. For many, it can feel too daunting a job to begin. There’s no need to face that feeling alone. Judy helps clients reclaim their space by determining which belongings are needed in the home, and which ones need letting go.

Judy’s expertise is invaluable in deciding which items should be donated to charity; which jobs require junk removal (hazardous waste, e-waste, metal, and recycling); and which items can earn you money (consignment and online auctions). Judy is an active member of the Professional Organizers of Canada (www.organizersincanada.ca) and has recently become the director of finance for the national board. She also won the Diamond Award for Senior Services in The Hamilton Spectator in 2017. Judy is available for speaking engagements and helps many seniors with downsizing as well as clearing estates in a friendly and compassionate manner.

Her team works with realtors in helping clients prepare their homes to be listed and then packing and unpacking them at move time. She is active on social media. Follow her on Facebook, Instagram (judyclutterreliefservices) and Twitter @clutterrelief10.
