ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: LAUREN MCKAY Recognizing Hamilton’s amateur athletes and teams
Hamilton snowboarder Lauren McKay won gold in the open category of both the parallel slalom, and parallel giant slalom at the Snowboard Ontario Provincial Championships at Mount St. Louis Moonstone the first weekend of March. Earlier the same week, the 15-year-old also finished first in the parallel giant slalom at the Ontario Winter Games at Blue Mountain.
