Three from Hamilton arrested with nearly $41,000 worth of drugs

BRANTFORD — A trio from Hamilton are facing drug charges after Brantford police uncovered nearly $41,000 worth of drugs and more than $4,000 cash when they spotted a vehicle associated with an outstandin­g warrant.

Officers from Brantford’s BEAT Unit (Better Enforcemen­t Action Team) approached a BMW outside a Market Street South business, in the south end of the city, shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, acting on informatio­n that the owner of the vehicle was wanted on a warrant.

Brantford police said the driver of the vehicle identified himself as the wanted man and was arrested without incident.

Police allege they found crack cocaine, methamphet­amine, powder cocaine, fentanyl, codeine pills and more than $3,000 cash in his possession.

A male passenger was allegedly in possession of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphet­amine and more than $800 cash. Police also allege they found more cocaine and methamphet­amine in the car. There was also a female passenger in the vehicle.

Khalid Mohamed, 22, and Aladin Abdelgadir, 22, both from Hamilton are each charged with four counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of traffickin­g, and breach of probation.

Elizabeth Nikolovski, 18, from Hamilton is charged with three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of traffickin­g.
