The Hamilton Ringette Association is hosting a free “Come Try Ringette” event Sunday, May 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mohawk Quad Pad for children ages 4 and up (players must be able to stand without assistance). Jason Riley Up Front Lineman Camp, non-contact offensive-line skills camp for ages 13-18. Instructors are current Tiger-Cat offensive linemen, Ti-Cat alumni, and OUA offensive line coaches. The day includes two sessions of on-field skills development for run blocking and pass blocking. Players will receive expert instruction, camp T-shirt, a snack, a tour of the TigerCat dressing room, and a keynote speaker. Camp takes place on May 5, Tim Hortons Field. St. Mary Volleyball Program (MVP) and Mountain Volleyball Club (MVC) summer camps for girls and boys in grades 1 to 8. First session runs July 16 to 20, and the second July 23 to 27, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School, Hamilton. Registration includes a T-shirt, goal setting book and volleyball. Instructors include NCCP certified coaches from the Mountain Volleyball Club and the Mountain Volleyball Club Coaching Certification Program (MVCCP). Coaches also include candidates and mentors of the Coaching Association of Ontario “Changing the Game, Changing the Conversation”.
