Almost every woman can relate to the morning dilemma of standing at the closet, agonizing over what outfit to wear. Nevermind that the kids need to be woken, lunches prepared, work emails answered and an early meeting to race to. Regardless of the number of responsibilities women juggle, looking good is always a priority.

Kristin’s, a destination fashion boutique in Ancaster, is dedicated to helping women achieve that effortless style for any occasion – from the workplace to the ice rink and everywhere in between. Owner, Norine Holk, has made it the store’s mission to ensure her customers look and feel beautiful.

“Before Kristin’s, I owned a spa, so I’ve always been passionate about making women feel beautiful from the inside out,” she says. Norine emphasizes that the store’s “classic but edgy” fashion will appeal to multiple generations – daughters, mothers and grandmothers.

“We are constantly evolving and looking for the latest trends,” explains Norine. “I look for items that are a little different, but not so crazy that I wouldn’t wear it.” Brands hail from across Canada, Scotland, Spain, France and Italy. Kristin’s has recently introduced premium denim from Los Angeles, such as Hudson and Fidelity.

“Once you put these jeans on,” says Norine, “You won’t want to take them off. The fit and fabric is amazing.”

The store caters to all body types and sizes. Additionally, Kristin’s will special order any size to accommodate a customer’s needs and taste. In fact, ensuring each customer purchases a properly fitted outfit is of utmost importance to Kristin’s. That’s why an in-house seamstress is available to nip and tuck until the fit is just right.

Kristin’s professional staff are expert at pulling together the perfect outfit. For women looking to update their wardrobe this spring season, Norine offers these quick tips:

• Fit is essential to every outfit. Make sure you feel comfortable in whatever you choose, otherwise you risk not wearing it once it goes in your closet.

• Get a little out of your comfort zone. Sometimes your fashion sense can get in a rut – try something new to shake things up.

• Accessorize! Don’t be afraid to wear a funky necklace, belt or scarf. Accessories are one of the only ways to add your own personal touch to an outfit.
