PUGH, Bonnie (Albina)

-

June 8, 1934 - April 4, 2018

It is with painful hearts and great sorrow that the Pugh family announces the passing of Bonnie (Albina) Pugh, devoted wife and loving mother on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 after a brief illness at the age of 83 years.

Bonnie (Albina, Judy) Burla was born in the Regional Municipality of Shellmouth, Manitoba on June 8, 1934. Bonnie married Nick Pugh on December 26, 1954 whereafter relocating with her husband to numerous locations in Saskatchewan and Alberta due to his work, they settled in Hamilton, Ontario in 1965. Mom had the occasional job but chose to spend quality time at home taking care of her family. She was always home for her children and their friends; our home was always open night or day. No one ever left our house with an empty stomach. Many were lucky to have tasted her cabbage rolls, dill pickles, perogies her baking and much, much more! Mom lived for her children and her grandchildren... her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Time spent at Baba Bonnie’s house was so special and now filled with precious, happy memories. In her final weeks of life she told us, her daughters, that when it is our (her children’s) time to go she would be there to meet each one with open arms. Bonnie was predeceased by her son Kevin Pugh and her granddaughter Alicia Lawless.

Left to honour and lovingly remember her are her husband of 64 years, Nick Pugh, daughter Debbie (Dwain) Manitoba, daughter Sherryl (Gary) Caledonia, Ontario, son Dale Alabama, son Nick (Steffani) California, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her passing, three sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews who thought the world of her.

Cremation has taken place and Mom’s Memorial will be at a later date... THE BROKEN CHAIN

Little did we know that morning that God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again ....

We love you mom
