REA, Maria February 15, 1948 - April 25, 2018

With broken hearts we announce the passing of our devoted wife, sweet mom and loving nonna. Born on February, 15, 1948 in Arpino, Frosinone, Italy, Maria passed away in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Devoted wife to Gaetano. Loving mother to Anna (Jeff), Silvio (Patricia) and Tony (Irene). Her greatest joys, who always brought a smile to her face, were her nine grandchildren: Alexander, Marsella, Cameron, Brendon, Ryan, Julia, Ella, Senna, and Farrah. She made us all better people, taught us that family, above everything else, is number one, that a simple life is more rewarding, and to always have a kind heart and thoughts towards everyone. Special gratitude to Mario and Luigina Bachetti, Maria’s neighbours, who are like family; their support towards her never faltered. Thank you to Mariane, her palliative nurse and the care team, and a special thank you to Minda for her continued support. Mom, we pray you are at peace. Thank you for loving us the way you did and know that you are forever engraved in all our hearts. We love you to the “moon, sun, oceans and back.” Visitation will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East, Sunday, April 29th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, April 30th at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Parish, 11 Wilson St. W, Ancaster followed by the interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
