-

With heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of our dear sister Lillian, on April 24, 2018 at the age of 87. She joins our parents, Imre and Jusztina and our sister Helen. She will be sadly missed by her sister Margaret. After 22 years as a trustee with the H.W.D.S.B., Lillian retired from the School Board where she represented all the schools in Ward 7. She was passionate about her work in the community. She courageously stood up for her beliefs on issues affecting her constituents. She was an active member of the Zonta Club of Hamilton 1, a member of the Women’s Canadian Club, and the Retired Teachers Association of Ontario. She had a long and diverse career as a social worker, elementary school teacher, church organist, a certified music teacher and school board Trustee. She enjoyed many friendships with politicians, teachers, service organizations and travelling she enjoyed with her sisters. Special thanks to the staff on 7 South at the H.G.H., members of the Zonta Club and the friends who visited her during her brief illness.
