March 25, 1932 - May 24, 2018 After a very brief illness with family by his side, Ron is reunited with the love of his life, his late wife Jean. They had a wonderful 63 years of marriage prior to her death in 2016. Born in Hamilton to William and Marion Campbell, he spent his entire life as a proud East End Hamiltonia­n. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, greatgrand­pa, great-great-grandpa and uncle. Survived by his children Bill (Nancy) of Hamilton, Rob (Sandie) of London, and Peggi (Michael) Goreski of Dundas; his grandchild­ren Jeffery, Jennifer, James, Ian (Honorata), Dave (Tara), Larissa (Derek), Connor, Helen, Marion (Katherine), 9 greatgrand­children and 1 great-greatgrand­child. Also survived by sisters Norma Harris (the late Jack), Hazell Shaw (the late Harry), and several nieces and nephews. Predecease­d by sisters Flora Underdown (Terry), Mae Bennett (Art), brother-in-law Bill Wilson and nephew Martin Harris. Ron retired from Procter & Gamble after 39 years of service. In retirement he enjoyed spending his time with Jean - be it at home, travelling or researchin­g family history. He enjoyed classical music, crosswords, his almost daily Denninger’s lunches and cheering for his Blue Jays. Special thanks to the staff of the Juravinski Hospital for the treatment he received. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, in recognitio­n of the loving care and devotion Ron provided to Jean during her illness, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciate­d.
