Hamilton police are hiring up to five students.

Applicatio­n deadline: June 3 Runs: July 3 — Aug. 24 Requiremen­ts include:

• Must be 15 to 18;

• Going back to school in September;

• Cannot have a criminal record or charges before court;

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, including having Social Insurance Number;

• Must be from a priority neighbourh­ood:

1) Jamesville/ Beasley — bound by the bayfront, Main Street East, Queen Street North and Wellington Street North;

2) Keith/ Lansdale/ South Sherman/ Crown Point — bound by Burlington Street, below the escarpment, Wellington Street North and Kenilworth Avenue North;

3) McQuesten — bound by Burlington Street East, Queenston Road, Parkdale Avenue North and the Red Hill Valley Parkway; 4) Riverdale — Barton Street East (Stoney Creek), Queenston Road, Centennial Parkway North and Grays Road;

5) Quigley Road — King Street East, the bottom of the escarpment, the Red Hill Valley Parkway and Centennial Parkway North;

6) Rolston — Mohawk Road West, the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, Garth Street and West Fifth Street.
