HOW TO VOTE
You can vote from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at your assigned voting location. To find your polling station, visit elections.on.ca or call 1-888-668-8683.
To be eligible to vote in an Ontario election, you must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario.
You should have received a Voter Information Card in the mail, which you should bring to your polling station. However, you can still vote if you did not receive a Voter Information Card if you bring one piece of identification that shows both your name and current residential address.
If you decide to decline your ballot, tell the election official that you are declining your right to vote when they hand you a ballot. This is a public process and is done out loud. The election official will mark “declined” on the election documentation and your ballot will not be placed in the ballot box but in an envelope for declined ballots.
Don’t take a selfie. Taking a picture of a completed ballot — yours or anyone else’s — is a violation of the Election Act because it violates the secrecy of the vote. It is also a violation of the act to publish a photo on your social media channels or elsewhere of a completed ballot.
Please note: Spectator delivery may be delayed slightly Friday morning due to late election results.
