CBC made the wrong election choice

RE: ELECTION COVERAGE

More needs to be made of the fact that the CBC aired the Stanley Cup playoffs, a broadcast owned by Rogers, over election night coverage. That the nation’s public broadcaster cast aside such an important election in favour of airing a game of no local importance is a disgrace. What’s more, the only beneficiary is Rogers, as CBC can’t even claim the ad revenue. What a great way to lose viewership.
