Live music at the speedway

Jukasa Motor Speedway (formerly Cayuga Speedway) is adding live music to its programmin­g this summer, with rock acts like The Sheepdogs and Georgia Satellites performing the night before big race days.

The concert series kicks off Friday, June 15, with a performanc­e by the American band The Georgia Satellites and Hamilton’s Chris Chambers.

On Friday, June 22, Tomi Swick performs with Melissa Marchese. The Sheepdogs perform July 13 with Texas King. On Aug. 31, “Patio Lanterns” rocker Kim Mitchell performs with In My Coma. The final show in the series will feature The Chasers on Friday, Sept. 28.

The shows will be held in The Pavilion, a licensed venue on the speedway grounds. Tickets can be purchased in advance at jukasamoto­rspeedway.com, separately or in packages that include camping and race tickets.
