URQUHART, Bonnie (Florence)

-

At the age of 78, Bonnie (Florence) Urquhart made her final journey peacefully to heaven June 4, 2018 in her home, just as she wanted. Surrounded by her devoted husband Nick (Neil) of 59 yrs, who was her rock, faithful companion and was with her every step of her 4 year battle with cancer. Just as she was his rock and faithful companion throughout their journey together. Also by her side was her daughter Gayle and her son Mike and her beloved Sheltie Collie ‘Nicky’. Bonnie was a retired secretary to the Dean of English at Mohawk College and was a staunch supporter and fan of minor hockey and baseball. She also cherished her times at the trailer with family. Bonnie wishes that family and friends remember her with a smile.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jimenez of Jurvanski (Oncologist), Dr. Cross (GP), Shirley-Ann her caseworker, Janice her PSW, and the CCAC team. They rallied around Bonnie and Nick when they needed them the most. Also, a special thank you to Bob, Bonnie’s brother for his daily phone calls which became a comfort and lifeline and the Tim Horton’s Gang who welcomed and included her into the fold.

Saturday, August 18, 2018, family, friends and neighbours are invited between 1 and 4 p.m. to drop in and help us celebrate Bonnie’s life, and what would have been her 79th birthday. To be hosted in the party room at Lakepoint, 2190 Lakeshore Rd, Burlington, On. Please call 905-308-5998 to confirm attendance and directions.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, it would be much appreciated, if you are able, to consider a donation to either the Heart Association or Canadian Cancer Society.

“It all started with a dance, now saving the last dance for her best friend and loving husband Nick.”
