Air Force Day
The Canadian Warplane Museum at 9280 Airport Rd. in Mount Hope presents Air Force Day: Past Present and Future on Saturday, 9-5 p.m. See more than 50 aircraft up close from the First World War to present day, including helicopters, transports and vintage planes. The Lancaster will be open for tours inside. Also flying in from the Great War Flying Museum are First World War replicas of the Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter and Nieuport 28. The CASARA Cessna 337G will also be on display. See warplane.com.
Steamer Days
Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology is giving rides on a miniature coal-burning, steampowered train. The free Golden Horseshoe Live Steamer Days is Sunday from 11-4 p.m. at 900 Woodward Ave.
Family Fishing Week

Outdoor concert
The Music at Fieldcote Series begins Sunday, 7 p.m., with music and stories that treasure Canadian culture and community. This week, the outdoor concert features Mark McNeil’s Flashbacks. McNeil is a singer-songwriter, Spectator journalist and local history buff who has put together a musical journey through Hamilton’s history. A pre-concert performance is scheduled 6-7 p.m. Free admission, but bring a lawn chair or blanket. In case of rain, the concert will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 31 Sulphur Springs Rd.
Just Beachy
It’s that time of the year: the Annual Beach Garage and Yard Sale along Hamilton’s Beach Strip is Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hundreds of vendors will be there, so start shopping early.
Stories in Stone
Take a lively, informative Hamilton Cemetery Historical Walking Tour Saturday at 11 a.m. Masonic tour at the Gatehouse, 777 York Blvd., is a free tour that lasts about two hours. It runs rain or shine and is hosted by Robin McKee. 905-544-9559.
