Generosity toward a Navy veteran

On July 4 my aged father, a recently widowed Navy vet, invited my wife and me to Kelsey’s Restaurant on Stonechurch at Winterberry.

What an amazing and pleasant surprise when the waitress told him a generous individual had covered the bill! We are overwhelmed at the kindness this person has shown and very grateful. I overheard my father utter, ‘Thank you sir,’ as he saluted the imaginary quarterdeck on our way out.

I shall be paying this forward.
