TROWBRIDGE, Mark

March 26, 1958-August 13, 2018

Surrounded in the arms of his loving family, Mark passed away peacefully August 13, 2018 at the Juravinski Hospital; special thank you to the phenomenal team in the ICU that made Mark and our family feel loved during this difficult time. Loving son of Ken and Alva Trowbridge. Soulmate and best friend to Stephanie (Gilfillan). Proud father of Shawn (Anita) and Jaime. Cherished grandad to Kayla, Luke, Zack and Ty. Fondly remembered by his sister Kathy Spalding (Brian), nieces Nicole and Ashley and brothers-in-law Peter Gilfillan (Andrea) and Jonathan Gilfillan. Mark is predeceased by his brother Kevin (1974). Mark was an amazing talented individual who truly marched to the beat of his own drum. He had the natural ability to see things in three-dimension and the patience to explain complexity in simple terms. Mark loved music and literally would never go anywhere without having the ability to put on some tunes. Nothing gave him more pleasure than the infinite possibilities of a blank canvas and then he would beam with pride at the end result; however, he would also be quick to point out to us the small imperfections only he could see making us shake our heads and then we would all laugh. The best part of life’s journey is who you get to share it with. Our journey started 47 years ago at our grade 8 graduation, and the journey will continue in the hearts of our children and grandchildren. Truly blessed, thanks sweetheart for the amazing ride. Cremation has taken place with a private family service at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Mark can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Culture for Kids in the Arts (www.ckarts.ca). Arrangements entrusted to Bay Gardens Funeral Home, Hamilton.
