Resolutions to fall for

-

While most people wait until the new year to make resolutions for self-improvement, the fall season may actually be the ideal time for a fresh start. We are already surrounded by change – leaves turning colour, kids returning to school, cooler weather.

With the relaxing days of summer drawing to a close, we often lament its end and all the wonderful experiences that accompany it. Why not, instead, mark the start of fall with a new intention to enhance your life. This issue explores some ways women can make time for personal pursuits.

Going back to school – whether it’s a workshop inspired by personal interests or a college certificate – isn’t just for the kids. We hope our feature article, Courses for grownups, helps readers reignite an old passion or start a new one. If time is an issue, check out our articles on smart devices and awesome apps to help save time and energy during the daily grind of work, parenting and running a household.

I was particularly inspired by this issue’s Superwoman, Karin Schuett, who successfully transitioned from homemaker to funeral director – now that’s change! While such drastic transformation may not be everyone’s bag, her story is a testament to the ability each of us has to create our own positive change. Often all it takes is the belief that we can do it.

Bestselling self-help author, Wayne

W. Dyer, says it quite aptly: “You’ll see it when you believe it.”
