DOAN, Edward Reginald

July 23, 1927 - September 3, 2018 Edward R Doan passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, on September 3, 2018 at the age of 91 with his family by his side. He will be reunited with his loving wife of 52 years, Isabell Marguerite (1999) (nee McDonald). Beloved father of Linda Doan of Hamilton and Susan Bebamash (husband Gene) of M’Chigeeng, Ontario. Loving grandfather of Shannon Morgan (husband Kevin) of Rousseau, Ontario and Roger Bebamash of M’Chigeeng, Ontario. He will be greatly missed by his great-grandsons, Jacob Bebamash of Tehkummeh, Ontario and Kaleb Bebamash of Blind River, Ontario. Dear brother of Harvey Doan (Marcelle) of Charlesburg, Quebec, and Mary-Lou Elsaesser of Mentor, Ohio, and brother-in-law Robert McDonald of Bancroft, Ontario. Predeceased by his father, Reginald Doan and his mother Pearl and step-father Noel Reakes, his sister, Betty Beck (Leonard), brother Jim Doan (Shirley), sisters-in-law Debbie McDonald, Chris Myke, and Nancy Doan, brothers-in-law Wesley McDonald, Bob Elsaesser and mother and father-in-laws Wesley and Marguerite McDonald. Edward (Ted) will be missed by many nieces, nephews and a life time of friends. Ted loved his travels north to Manitoulin Island and spent many holidays there from 1973 until recent years when he couldn’t make the long trip. He had many wonderful memories of Manitoulin and his many Island friends. Following his request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has already taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the M.A. CLARK & SONS FUNERAL HOME. Thank you to Bill W., Dr. Bob, Our Father and all his friends for the past 49 years. He lived his life ONE DAY AT A TIME.
