He was surrounded by his loving family as he entered into eternal rest. Survived by his devoted wife Dora of 65 years, adoring daughters Ersilia DiNardo (Gabriel), Floriana Seccombe and Anna Ventresca (late David Tutty), treasured grandsons Alexander, Evan, Julian, Matthew and Aidan. Also survived by his brother Flaminio (late Liberata), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Salvatore (Matilda), Santa (Attilio), Filomena (late Alberto), Giovanni (Isabella) and Pasqua (Sante) and many nieces and nephews all of Sulmona, Italy. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Ersilia, brother Andrea (late Antonina), father-in-law Gaetano and mother-in-law Anna, all of Sulmona, Italy. Panfilo, or Benny as he was called by his friends, enjoyed many hobbies including gardening and wine making. Above all he was passionate about music, especially opera, classical and jazz, a passion he imparted upon his family which will be a lasting gift. He learned to play the clarinet and saxophone as a young man and played in a number of bands including the Italo Canadian Band. His greatest joy was his family to whom he was greatly devoted and always worked hard to provide for them. He was a proud nonno and loved spending time with his grandsons. He will be remembered for his warm and welcoming smile as well as his fun and entertaining stories. He spent the last five years of his life at Ridgeview Long Term Care where he was lovingly cared for by an attentive and dedicated team of caregivers. We would like to thank the staff at Ridgeview, and, the doctors, nurses and all other staff at Juravinski Hospital for all they did to care for him and keep him comfortable during his final days.
