Step out this weekend and enjoy a fall fair, fundraisin­g walk or festival fun. There’s lots going on in and around Hamilton. Locke Street Festival The annual Locke Street Festival is set to rock ’n’ roll on Saturday. Locke Street is closed to traffic between Jackson to Hughson streets, 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The festival features music on three stages as well as the usual array of merchant and vendor booths. Christie Antique and Vintage Show

Canada’s favourite antique and vintage show is Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with hundreds of dealers and four hectares of treasures to be discovered. There will be china, jewelry, golf items, tins, scientific instrument­s, folk art, postcards, Indigenous artifacts, Canadiana, fine art, nostalgia items and furniture. Walks and runs

Bright Run 2018, 1 km and 5 km walk or run, is Saturday at the Dundas Valley Conservati­on Area, 650 Governors Rd. in Dundas. More than 1,000 participan­ts of all ages will participat­e to support local breast cancer research. On site registrati­on is available, come a little early and bring your pledges and registrati­on fee. Registrati­on opens at 9 a.m., runs starts at 10:30. brightrun.ca

Wiggle Waggle Walk is back at Bayfront Park on Sunday. Gather your two- and four-legged family and friends for a day of fun in support of the Hamilton Burlington SPCA. Registrati­on begins at 10 a.m. with the walk starting at 11:15 a.m. 905-574-7722 hbspca.com/donate/.

The Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope steps forward rain or shine on Sunday at Valley Park, 970 Paramount Dr. Registrati­on begins at 9 a.m. with the walk/run at 10:30 a.m. Parkinson Superwalk loops around St. Peter’s Hospital and through Gage Park on Sunday. Check-in begins at noon with the walk beginning at 1 p.m., meet at 88 Maplewood Ave.

Fair time

Take a short drive and enjoy one of the local fall fairs this weekend. The Six Nations Fair, celebratin­g 151 years this year, includes a baby show, demolition derby, entertainm­ent, horse racing, fireworks, smoke dance competitio­n, midway exhibits, native crafts, food booths and more. The West Niagara Fair is at the West Niagara Agricultur­al Centre, 7402 Mud St. W., in Grassie. This year’s theme is Roots and Boots. Weekend of Agricultur­al Awareness events, including livestock shows, Kidz Zone and petting zoo, antique tractor show and pulls, 2 demolition derbies, homecraft and school displays, family musical and other entertainm­ent. The 179th Cambridge Fall Fair boasts four days of non-stop fun, games, rides, vendors, food and great music. The fair is located at Dickson Park, 30 Parkhill Rd. W. Open Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday free admission to the grounds. Parking is $5 all weekend long subject to space availabili­ty. The 172nd annual Georgetown Fall Fair theme this year is A Touch of Country. It has horse shows, homecraft buildings, a petting zoo, horse shows, truck and tractor pulls, demolition derby and midway. Admission is $25 for a weekend pass, $8 Sunday, $10 Saturday; ages 7 to 12 is $3, and free for children 6 and under.
