September 6, 1924 - October 27, 2018 Suddenly the Lord took unto himself Trudy Taylor (Turkstra) nee DeBoer on Saturday, October 27, 2018, in her 95th year. Predecease­d by her parents Rem and Roelof DeBoer, her husbands Wilfred Turkstra (1968) and Lynn Taylor (2000); brothers Bud DeBoer and Jerry DeBoer and sisters Margaret Palmer and Jean DeYoung. She was very proud of her five children; Rick (Ann) Turkstra, Ron (Elaine) Turkstra, Bev (Jerry) Boschman, Bryan (Jill) Turkstra and Sherri (Tom) Blok. Special gramma to her twenty grandchild­ren; Melissa Turkstra, Heather Barnes, Christophe­r Turkstra, Nicole Gibson, Mark Turkstra, Paul Turkstra, Andrew Turkstra, Ian Turkstra, Marisa Arnold, Steve Boschman, Cindy Harrison, Lindsay Riddell, Matthew Boschman, Brett Turkstra, Jaisa Turkstra, Brooke Turkstra, Kayla Blok, Sheldon Blok, Adrienne Blok, and Kevin Blok. She also had twenty-six marvelous greatgrand­children plus two more any day now. Survived by her sister-in-law Phylis DeBoer and Tom and Jane Van Zuiden. Trudy had a special fondness for her step-daughter Patti Taylor. Many thanks to the wonderful care she received from the staff at Wentworth Lodge and the special care from the emergency staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St. Dundas, on Tuesday, October 30th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 29 Park St. W., Dundas, on Wednesday, October 31st at 11:00 a.m. A private burial to take place.
