June 21, 1929 - October 26, 2018 Joyce passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Maarten Nanne Guther (2015) for 61 years, she is survived by their children Marijke, Tony (Mary), Peter (Gwen), Marguerite (Jim), Joyce (Edwin), and Joanne (Wes), sixteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. The eldest of nine, Joyce was a loving sister to Jan, Annie (2008), Teus (2011), Amy, Bart, Gerard, Dini, and Henk. She will be missed by her extended family in the Netherlands and in Canada, including many cousins, nieces, and nephews. With heartfelt gratitude, we acknowledge Kylie (granddaughter) for many years of dedication and continuous support to her beloved Opa and Oma. A word of thanks and appreciation is extended to the First Hamilton CRC congregation, and to the medical staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital - especially CTU West for their care and compassion during her final weeks.
