CHRISTMAS PARTY AND SHOW Monday, December 17, 2018

-

Back in 2010 we held our first Christmas Party Celebration. The idea was to create a live show, with a traditional Christmas lunch, have prize draws, and a tour of the Christmas Lights. We rented out the whole theatre of “Oh Canada Eh?” and quickly sold out the maximum 250 seat capacity. Many people were disappointed that they could not get tickets, so we knew we needed to find a bigger venue.

In 2011, we rented the “Greg Frewin Magic Show Theatre” and quickly we sold out the 350 seats. Again we had many disappointed people who could not get tickets.

In 2012, we moved the party to a much larger venue at “Bingmans Park” in Kitchener, where we had a “Legends Christmas Variety Show”, that year with over 550 people in attendance.

By this time, we realized we needed an even bigger venue, and a permanent home to accommodate our Christmas Party Show Event. Since 2013, we have rented the beautiful “Grand Hall” inside the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls. They have provided us with a “Las Vegas” type show room, with outstanding stage and lighting, and adelicious Christmas Buffet, all while watching the show.

Our first show that year at this new venue featured “The Celtic Tenors” direct from Ireland. In 2014, “The Lettermen”, the 1960’s American super star group graced our stage, with over 600 people in attendance. 2015 saw “Leisa Way and her Wayward Band” who provided us with “A Salute to Canada Show” which received standing ovations. The next year 2016, one of Canada’s leading female groups, “The Mantini Sisters” provided us with a Christmas concert. Last year “Joe Scalissi” from Wisconsin, gave us a tribute to “Dean Martin” with his 100th Birthday Celebration Show. Over the years, we have covered a broad spectrum of entertainment, ranging from Musicals and Variety Shows, to International Acts and Las Vegas Style Shows, and Casino Vacations / Spotlight Daycations plan continue to bring you this world class entertainment you have come to love and enjoy!

From a simple idea to provide a Christmas season day out at a reasonable price, it has now become our biggest draw of our Yearly Tour Program. We want to thank you all for your support of this Day Tour, which has now become an annual tradition! Sincerely,

The Foster Family and Staff

It’s been 3 years since “Leisa Way and her Band” entertained us with her “A Salute to Canada Show”, in which she received standing ovations from everyone. Leisa is a Canadian singer with a beautiful voice and has had leading rolls in “Show Boat”, “The Sound of Music”, and “Forty Second Street”, both in Canada and on Broadway USA. We are proud to welcome her back to our main stage this year with her new show “Across the Pond” The British Invasion. I grew up in Liverpool England and spent my teenage years in the 60’s buying records with my pocket money and listening to the “Mersey Sound” of pop music. I was a member of The Cavern Club and saw many local (now famous) groups perform there on stage, including “The Beatles.” The pop music had a slower beat in the early 60’s, and you could understand all the words to each song.

The “Beatles”, “Gerry and the Pacemakers”, “Cilia Black”, “The Zombies” and “The Searchers” where all performing in Liverpool Clubs every week. The British Music of the 60’s and 70’s changed our lives and gave us some wonderful memories. “Leisa Way and her Lonely Hearts Club Band” will bring back the music and memories of this great time, performing all the great “Fab” songs from the British Invasion, songs you know and love, and will have you singing along to.

From “The Beatles” to “James Bond’s Goldfinger”, from “Herman’s Hermits” to “Lulu’s To Sir with Love”, from “Petula Clark” to “Mary Hopkins Those were the Days”, you will be entertained!

Leisa Way’s spectacular voice and sound and many gorgeous costumes, including Mini Skirts and Go-Go Boots will enchant everyone. I recommend you join us for this spectacular show and festive event, and to book soon so as not be disappointed, as we are almost sold out!
