Five sought after Best Buy iPhone theft

BURLINGTON — Halton police are looking for five thieves after more than $15,000 worth of iPhones were stolen from a Burlington Best Buy on Oct. 17.

The incident took place at around 6:15 p.m., when five people entered the 1200 Brant St. business and went straight to the iPhone section. Police allege they waited until there were no employees in the area, and then opened an unlocked drawer and removed 10 iPhone XS products. Officers allege they concealed the iPhones and left the store without paying.

The first suspect is described as female, white, about 45 years old, five-foot-five, with white/ grey hair pulled back in a ponytail. She wore a black shirt, white pants and black knee boots.

The second suspect is described as female, white, in her mid-20s, five-foot-five, with long black hair.

She wore a pink sweater, black undershirt, blue jeans and black boots.

The third individual is described as male, white, in his mid-30s, five-foot-10, with dark brown/red hair.

He wore a black jacket, blue jeans with white shoes with black laces.

The fourth person is described as male, white, in his early 20s, five-foot-10, with dark hair. He wore a light grey sweater with a dark grey line down the arm and a black hat with a white emblem on the side.

The fifth suspect is thought to be under 18.
