Hamilton Food and Drink Fest
Billed as Hamilton’s festival with taste, the Food and Drink Fest is Saturday, noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. at FirstOntario Centre, 101 York Blvd. The event is adults only on Friday and Saturday. Sample tickets are $1 each and sold predominantly in packs of 10 and 20. Most food and beverage samples cost between one and six sample tickets. General admission is $15 at the door or online.
Oh baby
Bump, Baby and Toddler Expo is Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Convention Centre, 1 Summers Lane. The expo features contests, entertainment, demonstrations and workshops. Admission is $10 at the door. bumpbabyandtoddler.com
Holiday house tour
The Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington is celebrating its 36th annual Holiday House Tour of Distinctive Homes. The weekend tours feature three homes — in Burlington, Waterdown and Hamilton — and will also include hands-on classes, decorating ideas, food trucks and contests. HPO Remembers
The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra performs at FirstOntario Concert Hall, 1 Summers Lane, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. To mark the centenary of the Great War, HPO turns to the vivacious and popular music of the early 1900s. Tenor Doug LaBrecque brightens the stage with his impeccable vocal stylings and flair for the music of early Broadway, Tin Pan Alley and goldenage jazz.
