Passed away peacefully at Queen’s Garden Nursing Home on Monday, November 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 85 years old. Beloved husband of the late Julie for 60 wonderful and adventurou­s years. Cherished father of Robert Gray (Barbara), Susan Laing (Brian), Gordon Gray (Toni) and Donna Ciccarelli (late husband John). Treasured grandfathe­r of Aaron (Kathryn, Westley, Claire), Gary, Justin (Chelsea, Alice), Tia (David), Marta, Peter (Chelsea) and Michael. Predecease­d by his parents John M. and Irene Gray. Donald was born in Sarnia, Ontario on February 28, 1933 and graduated from Ryerson in Toronto, Class of 1955. Don was an accomplish­ed career chemist at Stelco, General Concrete and Mulco. He was a dedicated volunteer at Delta United Church, community supporter and helpful neighbour along with being a lifetime blood donor. He loved to travel and spend time with family and friends at the cottage on Lake Erie. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Don’s many friends and caregivers at Queen’s Gardens. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family in a memorial service celebratin­g Don’s life to be held at DELTA UNITED CHURCH, 47 Ottawa Street South in Hamilton, at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 3rd.
