PIERROZ, Denis John

-

October 8, 1919 - November 28, 2018 Loved into new life with our Lord, with his daughter by his side at Victoria Gardens in his 100th year. He is predeceased by his beloved and devoted wife Mary (March 2, 1974). He will be sadly missed by his daughter Rosemary and her husband John. Forever treasured by his grandchildren David (Heather), Denis (Brianne), Mary-Rose, and Carolynn, and great-grandchildren Gabriel, Adelaide, and Charlie. He will be lovingly remembered by all of his family. Predeceased by his second wife Gertrude Reeves (2010); survived by her children. Denis was born in Sarnen, Switzerland to Etienne and Marie Rosalie. Predeceased by all of his siblings, Frieda, Frederick, Margaret, Etienne, Anna, Alois, Joseph, John, and Mary. Forever humble, he was a devout and active member of Corpus Christi Parish since it opened. His years of employment as a pipe fitter/welder included five years at Beemer, two years at the Hamilton Ship Yard, four years at Brauns Welding, five years at McCloud Welding, and 22 years at Bridgestone Firestone as a mechanic. A true gentleman and selfless individual, he believed in giving his best to everything he did. His words of wisdom were “remember the Good Lord and always say the Memorare.” Special thanks to all the staff at Victoria Gardens for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at P.X.
