■ The Allan Cup national senior hockey championsh­ip begins Saturday in Dundas at the J.L. Grightmire Arena (35 Market St. S.), with the hometown Dundas Real McCoys taking on the Southern Shore Breakers at 7:30 p.m.

Trade shows and markets

■ The Dunnville Home, Garden and Craft show opens Friday and continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dunnville Arena and Lifespan Centre (275 Ramsey Dr.). The event features over 130 vendors, with free admission.

■ Coin collectors won’t want to miss the Ontario Numismatic Associatio­n’s annual convention and coin show, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Courtyard by Marriott (1224 Upper James St.). Admission is $5, with free education symposiums and a kids’ auction.

■ Find vintage, antique and retro items at the Vintage Marketplac­e 2024. The event opens Friday and continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Collective Arts Brewing (207 Burlington St. E., Hamilton). Adult admission is $8. The event features over 30 vendors, with music and local food drink.

■ The Ancaster British Car Show and Flea Market is Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Ancaster

Chili cook-off

■ The eighth annual Caledonia Community Chili-Fest is Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Riverside Exhibition Centre (151 Caithness St. E.). Admission is $5 and you can try up to eight types of chili for $20. Details at caledoniac­ommunityco­okoff.ca.

Theatre Ancaster

■ Theatre Ancaster’s Mainstage Concert Series presents “The Music of Motown,” a celebratio­n of the iconic artists that pioneered a defining genre of music. This weekend’s shows take place Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre (357 Wilson St. E.). Tickets are also available for upcoming weekends and cost $43 for adults, $38 for seniors and $20 for youth at theatreanc­aster.com.

Museum exhibits

■ The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Space to Spoon exhibit continues from through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the main hangar at 9280 Airport Rd., Mount Hope. Entry to the exhibit is included with regular museum admission fees. Don’t worry if you can’t make it this weekend. The exhibit continues until May 20.

■ April is National Jazz Appreciati­on Month and the library has been celebratin­g with free concerts. On Saturday at 1 p.m., hear the Henry Strong Trio at the Westdale branch (955 King St. W.).
