Great Kids Award nominations
As some of you may already know, the Ministry of Human Services hosts the Great Kids Award each year to recognize kids in our province for positively impacting our communities or the lives of Albertans. I’d just like to pass this message along for you to consider nominating a great kid in your community who helps, inspires and changes the lives of others. Nominations are open until November 27 and may be submitted through an online nomination form. Also included is an e-mail announcement that can be easily shared with friends and colleagues. Thanks for your continued support; we look forward to another successful year celebrating Great Kids.
Nominations for the 2016 Great Kids Award have opened!
In spring 2016, the Government of Alberta is presenting the 16th Annual Great Kids Award to celebrate Alberta’s remarkable young people. Great kids capture the vitality of Alberta by helping, inspiring and changing the lives of others.
These amazing young leaders deserve our recognition because they are role models in our communities. Our future promises to be bright led by kids like these individuals.
Nominate a Great Kid!
Nominate a child or youth between the ages of 5 and 18 for positively impacting our communities or the lives of Albertans. Sixteen great kids will be selected from four age categories (5-8, 9-12, 13-15, and 16-18) and celebrated at a special awards ceremony at the Fantasyland Hotel in the spring.
Who can be a nominator? Any resident of Alberta can nominate a Great Kid – teachers, coaches, pastors, social workers, neighbours, friends and family!
