The Yellowhead County Garden Pride contest and tour is in its thirteenth year! The tour will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2016. The bus will load in Edson, Niton, and at the Wildwood Complex.
This is a great opportunity to view many beautiful spots in the county, talk to gardeners and garden enthusiasts, and learn more about plants and plant care.
“The very popular County Pride Tour provides a look at some outstanding examples of the beautiful landscaping that can be done with the plants that flourish in this climate,” says Yellowhead County Agricultural Services Supervisor Jennifer Benson.
“Although our local climate presents some big challenges for gardeners, it is inspiring to see the clever and creative ways that gardens have been adapted to flourish here.”

In the judging process, properties were graded for over-all presentation, including neatness and use of space. This is followed by a closer look at the following categories: Lawn care Flowerbeds/ gardens- including vegetable Species variety & health Buildings Management practices
addition to viewing the many beautiful spots, tour participants will have plenty of opportunity to socialize with others on the tour, whether they are gardeners or not, and talk to the winning gardeners and learn more about plants and plant care.
