The use of a grain moisture tester will assist to make informed harvesting decisions that save time and money!

Understanding when a field is ready to harvest is one of the critical components of maximising yields. The introduction of moisture testers to farming replaces guesswork and is a valuable tool that accurately measures moisture readings right in the field. There are several reasons why knowing grain moisture is important, but the main reason is to protect investments.

Moisture content is almost universally used as a price determinant when trading grain. This means that moisture content at various stages of growth, harvest and sale can mean extra dollars for the season. For example, grain stored too wet will spoil. If the grain is too dry the nutritional value declines. Both large and small farmers can benefit from good moisture analysis.
