Nov. 22 meet­ing

Wild­wood Fire Hall – Coun­cil ap­proved the pro­posal from BR2 Ar­chi­tec­ture for the de­sign, ten­der­ing, and con­struc­tion su­per­vi­sion of the pro­posed new fire hall in Wild­wood slated to be­gin con­struc­tion in 2017.

Robb San­i­tary Force Main – Coun­cil for Yel­low­head County awarded the con­tract for the Hamlet of Robb San­i­tary Force main re­place­ment to Stream­line In­dus­tries in the amount of $ 709,398.00. The in­stal­la­tion will be com­pleted us­ing Hor­i­zon­tal Di­rec­tional Drilling. The ac­cepted bid was the low­est of the eight bids re­ceived that met the con­tract’s re­quire­ments.

Dec­la­ra­tion of Agri­cul­tural Dis­as­ter – Coun­cil de­clared a state of Agri­cul­tural Dis­as­ter due to the cur­rent con­di­tion of many of the crops in Yel­low­head County. The de­ci­sion was based on re­cent crop re­ports where data showed ex­ces­sive mois­ture on many crops in Yel­low­head County, as well as dis­cus­sions with pro­duc­ers and vis­ual in­spec­tions by staff.

Park­land County Fire Ser­vices Agree­ment – Yel­low­head County will en­ter into a new Fire Ser­vices agree­ment with Park­land County where they will con­trib­ute $325,000 per year for ser­vices from Yel­low­head County’s Fire Depart­ment. Yel­low­head County will pro­vide re­sources to in­ci­dents in Park­land in the ge­o­graph­i­cal ar­eas cov­ered un­der the agree­ment.

Mem­ber-at-Large Board Ap­point­ments – Coun­cil ap­pointed Ge­orge Web­ster to the Her­itage Ad­vi­sory Board for a 3-year term and Ryan Gy­lan­der to the Agri­cul­tural Ser­vices Board for a 2-year term. These boards pro­vide ad­vice to Coun­cil and ad­min­is­tra­tion on is­sues spe­cific to each of their re­spec­tive boards and re­view and ap­prove grants and fund­ing to com­mu­nity or­ga­ni­za­tions from funds bud­geted by Coun­cil for ac­tiv­i­ties re­lated to these ar­eas.

The next Coun­cil Meet­ings is De­cem­ber 13, 2016. The next Com­mit­tee of the Whole Coun­cil Meet­ing is De­cem­ber 20, 2016. All meet­ings start at 9:30 a.m. in the Coun­cil Cham­bers.
