County and Town work together to plan a better future

SpecialThe Townto theof Edson Post and Yellowhead County have launched a project to jointly plan for the future of: • Arts and Culture. • Parks and Recreation. • Museums and Archives. • Library Services.

The plan will be based on a thorough understanding of the two municipalities; best practices in similar jurisdictions; and extensive input from ratepayers, program users, stakeholders and staff.

All citizens are invited to provide their thoughts on the types of services, facilities and programs needed. Anyone interested can participate by completing a survey attached to the municipalities’ websites, and attending any of the community meetings planned to gather input.

The survey is available for use now on the Town and County websites. Further information on the dates and locations of meetings will be provided on the websites and in local media.

This is one of the first times that the County and the Town have joined their planning efforts to provide improved and coordinated recreation and culture services to their citizens.
