Ed­son RCMP seek wit­nesses to al­ter­ca­tion at lo­cal li­censed es­tab­lish­ment

Po­lice are seek­ing the pub­lic’s as­sis­tance in iden­ti­fy­ing a sus­pect in an al­ter­ca­tion oc­cur­ring at a li­censed es­tab­lish­ment in the Town of Ed­son.

On the evening of July 21st, 2017 two pa­trons were leav­ing Score, in the base­ment of the Moose Creek Ho­tel, when a phys­i­cal al­ter­ca­tion is be­lieved to have taken place in the stair­well. This al­ter­ca­tion con­tin­ued in the park­ing lot out­side the es­tab­lish­ment at which time it was bro­ken up by staff.

The in­juries suf­fered by the vic­tim were not im­me­di­ately no­ticed, but nonethe­less se­ri­ous. The vic­tim was hos­pi­tal­ized for nearly a week. Po­lice were no­ti­fied about the in­ci­dent 10 days later on July 31st, at which time the in­ves­ti­ga­tion be­gan.

The sus­pect is de­scribed as be­ing an ap­prox­i­mately 35 year old Cau­casian man, about 6’1” in height, 210 lbs in weight with a thin face and dark hair.

“To date we have spo­ken to staff at the es­tab­lish­ment as well as some pa­trons and re­ceived their co-op­er­a­tion, but have yet to iden­tify a sus­pect,” states Cst. Alex Ayres of Ed­son RCMP. “We are hop­ing some­one’s mem­ory may get jogged and they may have some in­for­ma­tion which will as­sist us in iden­ti­fy­ing and speak­ing to this per­son.”
