Edson RCMP seek witnesses to altercatio­n at local licensed establishm­ent

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifyin­g a suspect in an altercatio­n occurring at a licensed establishm­ent in the Town of Edson.

On the evening of July 21st, 2017 two patrons were leaving Score, in the basement of the Moose Creek Hotel, when a physical altercatio­n is believed to have taken place in the stairwell. This altercatio­n continued in the parking lot outside the establishm­ent at which time it was broken up by staff.

The injuries suffered by the victim were not immediatel­y noticed, but nonetheles­s serious. The victim was hospitaliz­ed for nearly a week. Police were notified about the incident 10 days later on July 31st, at which time the investigat­ion began.

The suspect is described as being an approximat­ely 35 year old Caucasian man, about 6’1” in height, 210 lbs in weight with a thin face and dark hair.

“To date we have spoken to staff at the establishm­ent as well as some patrons and received their co-operation, but have yet to identify a suspect,” states Cst. Alex Ayres of Edson RCMP. “We are hoping someone’s memory may get jogged and they may have some informatio­n which will assist us in identifyin­g and speaking to this person.”
