Wetaskiwin RCMP arrest two males involved in vehicle theft and collision.

Wetaskiwin RCMP have two males in custody following a motor vehicle collision involving a stolen vehicle.

On March 10, 2018 At 7:23 pm Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Range Road 274 and Township Road 464. After the collision the males fled on foot. One vehicle was determined to have been stolen earlier in the day from Wetaskiwin Alberta. A search was completed with the assistance of Maskwacis RCMP and Police Dog Services but the males were not located.

On March 11, 2018 Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to a call of suspicious persons in the area of Highway 795 and Township Road 465. Two males were identified as Terrence Bergseth 21-years-old and Troy Netterfiel­d 41-years-old. As a result of an in-depth investigat­ion with Wetaskiwin Crime Reduction Unit and Wetaskiwin RCMP, both males were identified as being involved in the collision from the evening before.

Both males have been arrested and Charged, their charges are as follows:

Terrence BERGSETH 21-Years-Old from Fox Creek Alberta • Theft of Truck.

• Fail to comply with Probation X4.

He was remanded into Custody and was to appear in Wetaskiwin Court on March 15, 2018. Troy NETTERFIEL­D 41-Years-Old from Wetaskiwin Alberta • Theft of truck.

• Fail to comply with conditions of Undertakin­g or recognizan­ce.

He was remanded into Custody and is to appear in Wetaskiwin Court on March 15th, 2018.
