Whitecourt RCMP Charge two males for Break and Enter/theft at Community Hall

On March 20, 2018 Whitecourt RCMP were notified of a Break and Enter to a shed at a local community hall in Woodlands County. The break and enter/theft occurred at approximat­ely 3:30 am. The suspects gained entry to the shed by breaking the lock and stealing a snow blower, 2 canopy tents and multiple tools. Through video surveillan­ce a truck was identified at the scene and the registered owner was questioned. The owner of the truck admitted to doing the break in/theft along with a second male. Both of the males were arrested, charged and later released on a Promise to appear in Whitecourt Provincial Court on Tuesday May 8, 2018. Sydney Lee KING (33) of Whitecourt faces 3 Charges: • Theft under $5000 Sec 334(b) Criminal Code • Mischief under $5000 - Sec 430(4) Criminal Code • Fail to comply with an undertakin­g – Sec 145(3) Criminal Code

Dean Paul TAYLOR (18) of Whitecourt faces 2 Charges: • Theft under $5000 Sec 334(b) Criminal Code • Mischief under $5000 - Sec 430(4) Criminal Code
