Edson RCMP make arrests
On July 18, 2018, Edson RCMP were on patrol in the Edson area when they observed a suspicious vehicle near an oilfield compound. The member on patrol recognized the vehicle from a previous break and enter at the same compound. The member initiated an investigation and learned that the compound had been broken into.
One male inside of the vehicle was immediately taken into custody. Police searched the area with the assistance of the RCMP Police Dog Services and located a second male hiding inside of the compound.
Christopher Allen Lang (42) of Evansburg, AB is facing charges of breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, possession of break and enter tools, possession of stolen property, and mischief over $5000.
Daniel Gordon Schacher (39) of Spruce Grove, AB is facing charges of breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, possession of break and enter tools, possession of stolen property, mischief over $5000 and five counts of failing to comply with conditions.
He was also wanted on ten outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest.
