Miraj-un Nabi (saw) celebrations in Town..,
On April 23, International Muslim Academy of Canada (IMAC) organized an event at Fiji Islamic Centre Surrey to remember the night of Miraj-un Nabi(saw). Mr. Aseem Akhtar Khan of IMAC was the MC for this event. Program started with Tilawat-e-Quran-Pak recited followed by beautiful Naat Rasool Maqbool (saw) by Br. Abdul Rasool Salis, Br. Ismail Rajput, Br. Sheryaar Khan. After Naat session, MC requested first Guest speaker Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi to deliver a speech on Isra wal- Miraj. He quoted many verses of Quran along with Hadiths and delivered beautiful authentic incident of Miraj. Second Urdu dynamic speaker Maulana A. Latif Naumani delivered a spiritual Biyan and said that in order to understand what happened on that night with our beloved Prophet Mohammad (saw), we should carefully read the first verse of Surah Isra’a 17.1”Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from alMasjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa.”. He also said it is Ahel Sunnah wal Jamat’s strong belief that Muhammad(saw) travelled from Masjid al-Haraam to Masjid Aqsa and then Masjid Aqsa to seventh sky and then La Makan physically. Last speaker Peer Afzal Ahmed Naqshbandi from Bullay Shah Academy of Canada, said that the Prophet presented “Tashahhud” to Allah (swt)and got Salat ( 5 Prayers) from Miraj. Today this Miraj un Nabi reminds everyone of us to pray 5 times a day. He also quoted few Hadiths about Hzt Moses (AS) conversation and presence at Masjid ul Aqsa. Peer Afzal also narrated beautiful Naats and Sultan Baou Kalam in his beautiful voice. Afterwards, Mr. Aseem Khan announced IMAC awards to these recipients.
