Muslim rights trampled under transgender

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, As incidences of Voyeurism are on the rise. The muslim community of Richmond have been actively involved in rallying up support to protect the bodily privacy of young girls in the use of School washrooms, Change rooms and field trip overnight stays while at school. Since “gender identity” is added to the revised code of conduct without a definition, and the Ontario Human Rights Commission defines “gender Identity” as each person’s internal and individual experience of gender. It is their sense of being a woman, a man, both, neither, or anywhere along the spectrum. A person’s gender identity may be the same, or different from their birthassigned sex”. Parents want to know if Richmond Board of Education will adopt this definition, and if schools will allow a boy who feels that he is a girl to walk into the girl’s change room while their daughters are changing. If so, it will threaten the core Muslim values. one has to keep in mind that these young girls who wear hijab and don’t take it off in the presence of other males will have great difficulty, when washing up for prayer and are suddenly exposed to a genetic male walking in unannounced. Parents of muslim children of the Muslim school in Richmond showed up in throngs at the School board trustees meeting of June 5th, in Richmond, They made a presentation before the trustees to protect their children’s safety when such a Policy is implemented. They also gathered about 365 signatures to protest this Policy and to safeguard their children. Several women in Hijab attended with questions about the legal ramifications, lack of modesty and emotional stress on their children. These concerns were also circulating within the Richmond mosque as the muslims converged there for travi prayer during this Holy month of Ramadan. In February, the school Board passed a motion to develop a policy that recognizes gender diversity of the school district community. It supports an increased awareness and understanding of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression. This really translates into the promotion and support of transgender. Transgender people are people, who have a gender identity or gender expression that differs from their birth sex. The policy dictates to the teachers that if such a student, who feels that he is a female trapped in a male body desires to use female bathroom, that the teacher should allow him the use of such facilities, no questions asked. Are our children going to be forced to celebrate or embrace the homosexual lifestyle? It is against the muslim values and culture. The fear in doing this is that while giving rights to the transgender populous,( which is minority of minority) they are walking over the constitutional rights of the majority, i.e. all religious factions, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus etc. I sight here a recent class action law suit filed by several school students against Supt. Richard Faidley. The lawsuit charges that without any notice to students or their parents, school officials “secretly opened” their sex-specific restrooms and locker rooms to students of the opposite sex. In this case the male student notified school officials, who informed him that they now authorize students who identify themselves as the opposite sex to use whichever locker room they wish. Rather than protect the student’s privacy, officials told him he must “tolerate” the presence of a female and make changing clothes with students of the opposite sex as “natural” as he can. Meanwhile, Mr.Faidley said, the district “has maintained and continues to maintain that its present policies and practices regarding bath and locker rooms accommodate all students and are in compliance with relevant court rulings.” In another instance, “Mary Smith” entered a girls restroom to find a male student washing his hands in the sink, and when she notified school officials they told her “the student could now use restrooms or locker rooms with her since he identifies as a girl.” She was told there were no other options. As a consequence, “Macy Roe” is suffering from “anxiety and stress” because of the coed locker room practice in the district. Independence Law Centre Chief Counsel Randall Wenger is quoted saying, “Schools shouldn’t be robbing students of their legally protected personal privacy, “The children joining with the original student who filed this suit shouldn’t be forced into emotionally vulnerable situations like this when they are in the care of their schools. It’s a school’s duty to protect and respect the bodily privacy and dignity of all students. In this case, school officials are clearly ignoring that duty.” The American College of Paediatricians (ACPeds) urges educators and legist laters to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthy is actually CHILD ABUSE. Rates of suicide are 20 times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery. When are the policy makers going to learn to respect all ethnic values inclusively? Are they waiting for us to drag them to court for our rights?
